This was SO amazing! Definitely the stand-out dish at Thanksgiving. My suggestion would be to make a little more sauce for that extra flavor. Also, if you're really looking for that whiskey taste, you can up the apples because they soak in the flavor much more than the potatoes.

Fantastic - beautiful and easy to make. Everyone asked for the recipe. Don't be afraid of the cayenne pepper - the little pop of heat keeps the dish from being overly sweet. Definitely a keeper.

I could have eaten this as a dessert it was so delicious. It was great hot or cold straight out of the refrigerator. Absolutely made Thanksgiving!

These sweet potatoes were the star of my Thanksgiving Dinner! I made half again of the sauce and layered the potatoes with chopped apples as suggested in a review--awesome.

This was an amazing addition to our Thanksgiving Day feast. I took this dish to a dinner where the family usually did not enjoy the usual marshmallow sweet potatoes. The course was such a hit, it was completely gone at the end of the meal. Wiped out. Not even a pecan left. To make the cooking process more efficient, bake the sweet potatoes the night before, cool completely and refrigerate. You can then peel them in the morning, and complete the recipe. I even put it all together and transported the dish to another home to finish the cooking process. It still came out wonderfully.

My family could not stop talking about how fabulous this was. I followed the directions exactly, next time i will bake the sweet potatoes about half way, as they were a little mushy...but the flavor was amazing, a new Thanksgiving tradition!

I've been trying recipes for a few years...but this one ROCKS!!! Everyone LOVED it...so much that I signed up just to leave a review. I can't wait to make it again! It's staying in my recipe collection. I was so pleasantly surprised, because have not been "WOWED" like I was with this one!!!

OMG,,, this totally replaces the sweet potatoes, brown sugar and marshmallows. This recipe give the dish a KICK rather than the sugar neutralized traditional recipe.
