Love it! Quick and easy. The red wine adds great zip and it is simple to adjust all the seasonings to your tastes.

Was craving red beans and rice. Followed recipe. Waaay too much oregano, basil and sugar. It came out as a starchy mess of stuff over rice. Not from New Orleans, been there, enjoyed the food. This is definitely not a recipe I would ever consider making again. Maybe it was the sausage (I used a mix of andouille and a chipolte chicken sausage. I can't get the taste of the oregano and basil out of my mouth. Would have like something with more heat (I did put a jalapeno pepper in it.

I was very surprised at how much zip it had since the recipe didn't have any pepper.
This just takes 45 minutes and tastes great

This was a really good recipe. My bf and I are making it right now and it's about to finish. So far so good. What I liked the best is that it is so simple to make and you can add a bit more spice (we chopped up a habanero and you can half it if you need to very easily. We also used black beans this time around. We were out of red beans. Will def use this recipe again.

I have read the reviews and although I think some are a little harsh,Personal taste enters into the equasion. I did not grow up on read beans and rice but when I moved to Texas I have had several versions of it.
I have to say I liked this one very much and my family thought the flavors were excellent

While I'm about to cook this recipe and I appreciate all the reviews....I can't help but notice the ones that DISLIKE and TRULY NEGATIVELY judge this recipe are from LA. Everybody else thinks its pretty darn good.....If you're from that region and you think you know how to make it better....I invite you to enter your own recipe or don't so harshly judge those who do. Respectfully signed........I will say my review is of pretense. I'm sure it's the bomb.

This recipe, while not authentic, is probably the best bastardization I have ever tried.

Most recipes tend to be overly starchy and bland, but we thought that this recipe base was tangy and wonderful! We did make a few changes: we used un-cased andouille for the sausage, and the second run through we added a few (to five more dashes of red-wine vinegar for extra tang!

Definitely a nice one-pot recipe for a cold, lazy day.

I hate to say it, but the folks from Louzeeanna are very arrogant about their version of red beans and rice. Still fighting a lost war, I guess. This recipe was truly good.

I hate to say it but this is probably the worst red beans and rice I've ever had. Not even close to the authentic RB&R we make here in Louisiana. You might want to stick with Emeril if your looking for the good stuff.

This is the red beans and rice all others should be judged by. The flavors are outstanding and probably become one of your family favorites!
