Thank you, Chef Curtis, for posting our recipe. It was created in our test kitchen to highlight our habanero chiles and blackeyed peas. Please go to www.friedas.com for more recipes. -Frieda's Inc., The Specialty Produce People

I've experimented with many chili recipes over the years- this one is the best! spicy but not overpowering-excellent flavor!

It is very easy to make and everyone loved it. We added an extra can of beans though to make a little more, and I used fresh habaneros that I grew .
It's is great if you love spicy foods, and you can control the spiciness level by adding the seeds and ribsof the peppers.
BE CAREFUL HANDLING HABANEROS THEY WILL BURN YOUR SKIN FOR HOURS IF IT TOUCHES YOU, MAKE SURE TO WARE GLOVES WHEN YOU CHOP THE PEPPERS.

This recipe is HOT! I mean really good. I made this chili two years ago for work and the office begs me to bring more of this chili every year. I'm making it again on March 4 and they're doing a countdown to chili day. This recipe will stay with me for forever!
