I'm not a big green bean fan but my Thanksgiving guests are. I served this at room temperature, as teh instructions say may be done.
It was easy to put together between preparing other dishes (steam the beans here, toast the nuts there, etc.. It went over so-so. I thought it was a little vinegary. I think it would have been better warm.

Happy Thanksgiving! Doubled the recipe deleted the O and added honey. Kids and adults loved it.

Simple and elegant and declious! I would serve this as a side dish for company and it's quick and easy enough for a weeknight dinner. Excellent!

This was so good! I made a little bit more dressing than was called for but everything else was perfect. I also chopped the onion, walnuts and parsley very small so that there was some of each on the string beans. I highly recommend this.

I had bought some fresh green beans and wanted to do something more than steam them. I tried Elie's recipe and it was simple, healthy, and delicious.

Used sitaw (long chinese green beans which worked just as good. Family loved it. Would probably cut down on the onion though. Other than that this is a great recipe I'd try again.

What a great twist on Green Beans. The dressing is tangy and delicious. I've prepared several times and guests adore it. Will do often.

This is a great summer salad and a great way to make green beans. I only made a couples changes - I just microwave steamed the beans for 4 min and took them out to cool right away. I used sliced almonds instead of walnuts. I love almonds with green beans. I also don't care for dijon and just used a spicy coarse mustard. My husband loved it too! Definitely a keeper.

Boy was this delicious, and so simple! I try not to change too much when preparing a recipe for the first time, but the reviewers had some fantastic ideas here. I used cilantro in place of parsley, and I believe the punch of flavor it gives the dish is imparative. I also used shallots in place of the red onion because it was what I had. Steaming the beans for 4 minutes leaves them rather crunchy, so I steamed them for just over 5 minutes and they were perfect for our taste. I wouldn't skip the toasting of the nuts...it nice. Another great reason to try this, is because you can make it ahead of time and serve it room temperature. You may want to reserve the nuts until the end, but either way, you will be glad you tried this recipe.
