My 10-year old daughter and I loved these pancakes. The strawberry sauce is what really makes them sing. Yum. And I don't even EAT pancakes!

Since seeing this episode a couple years ago, this is the only recipe we ever use now to make pancakes. The strawberry sauce is outstanding. We also make a blueberry compote, which is heavenly. Basically you can put anything on these and it's wonderful! Thank you Ellie for another healthy and great tasting recipe!

These pancakes were light and delicious! This recipe didn't call for melted butter which most pancake recipes do and I was afraid they might stick to the griddle. I took the liberty of adding 2 Tbsp. of melted unsalted butter. I had no problems with sticking. The sauce was really good and we also tried them with maple syrup which also was delicious. Using the strawberry syrup definitely keeps the calorie count lower!

This is my go-to pancake recipe - I LOVE them - but I have never tried the strawberry sauce. I make these almost every weekend and have made my own variation. I do a half cup whole wheat flour, half cup AP, and half cup old fashioned rolled oats. The oats create a really nice texture. I also think that medium high heat is a bit too high; medium works much better.

The 200 degree oven is possibly the best part of this recipe. It's the perfect temperature to keep the pancakes warm without overcooking them.

I was anxious to try this recipe since my family and I have been putting forth more effort to include better food choices in our diet...and we love pancakes for breakfast! This gives us whole grain, honey (in lieu of refined sugar and low fat/cholesterol (I substituted egg whites for one of the whole eggs to make it lighter.

A little nervous that the pancakes would come out with a strong whole wheat flavor--I was wrong. They were terrific and very filling, yet light. The strawberry sauce was so good on the wheat pancakes. I will definitely be making this recipe again.

I made these pancakes several nights ago for supper, and they were absolutely delicious! I am used to making pancakes from a box mix, but not anymore. These were just as easy to make, but even better than anything that could come from a mix. It was my first time ever making homemade pancakes and I was surprised by how easy and yummy it was! I do have experience cooking though, even though i'm 17. I made several changes, such as tripling the vanilla (I'm a huge vanilla fan and adding oats, bananas, and chocolate chips on top of the batter. Needless to say, I will be making these many more times!

My son loves pancakes. I use to make them out of the box. A year or so ago, I discovered Ellie's book, The Food You Crave. This was one of the first recipes I tried on my road to good health. I was skeptical that my son would like this version as it is definitely more dense. Surprise to me, he loves them!

I have modified the recipe a tiny bit by doubling the honey and vanilla. These are quick and simple to make. In the book, it calls for whole wheat pastry flour in place of regular whole wheat flour which may make a difference in the consistency.

The best thing for me is that after eating these for breakfast, I am not hungry for hours. A great healthy start to the day. Add some blueberries/strawberries/or bananas, we've tried them all and they are just a yummy way to start the day.

The pancakes needed to be fluffier and more substence, I also found the sauce not to be as sweet as I like it, I went back later made it with frozen strawberries and ones fresh from down the street it was much better & I used my own pancake recpie.
