When I asked what I could bring to a picnic we were attending they said either an app or desert. Thought of fruit salad but wanted to look to see if there was one out there that was jazzed up a little. Saw this and though it sounded great I worried about the mint being over powering. I made it throwing in some blueberries and frozen mango and added the "dressing" a little at a time. Then ended up using all of it. The Mint is not overpowering at all just adds an element of freshness to it. The sweetness of the honey and lime reminding me of a glaze you would add to a fruit tart. Delicious! Needless to say, people were eating it all through the party, as an app and for desert! Totally gone!! This will be my go to for a lot of picnics!! :

DELICIOUS!!! I served this salad at a brunch I hosted and my guests loved it. I agree with past comments: the dressing is the key! I used fresh mint from my garden; that coupled with the lime and honey - agree again with others - no more boring fruit salad. As another splash of color (but mosly because I had them and needed to use them I sprinkled a handful of fresh blueberries on top before I served it. So good! Thanks Ellie!!!

Yummy! The dressing is the key! The honey, mint and line are a perfect combination. After years of boring fruit salad I tried this for a gathering. Everyone was asking for the recipe. I added Honey Dew melon to make a bit sweeter with the fruit. It’s now part of our Easter Brunch tradition.

So good! I made this for a diverse group of people and they devoured it. In fact, they joked about licking the bowl after the fruit was all eaten! My fruit options were limited, so I kept things simple by only having chunks of oranges and strawberries. I wanted to add kiwi, but they weren't ripe, so I had to go without them. The dish was still pretty and no one missed the other fruit options. I plan to keep this recipe at the top of my list.

Like other reviewers suggested, I also used mango chunks (frozen and fresh blueberries (along with cantaloupe, kiwi, and strawberries. The salad was wonderful!

Wonderfully easy, healthy and colorful. I took it to a brunch attended by women who are awesome cooks and everyone loved it, asking for the recipe. As others have said, the dressing is critical, albeit quite simple. It gives the dish just the extra push to make it extraordinary. I substituted mango for cantaloupe - loved the taste but don't like the hassle of cutting mangoes. Having made it twice, I found that the mangoes I bought were either too ripe or not ripe enough and I ended up mangling them. The result was fine anyway but aesthetically I would certainly prefer nicely cut cubes.

All in all, I would eat a lot more fruit if it was prepared like this!

I took this to work for a breakfast birthday celebration and everyone loved it. I modified the recipe as follows: I added pomegranates and did not add the lime zest because the pomegranates are already sour. For the lime juice – I just used 1 whole lime, and about 4 tablespoons of honey instead of 3 – since again the pomegranates added extra sourness. It tuned out great and colorful!

Never thought of putting a dressing on a fruit salad before, but this was really yummy. I used strawberries, kiwi, and blueberries for the fruit, because it's impossible to find good cantaloupe around here this time of year. The dressing really gave it a lot more flavor, and didn't need to add any sugar because of the honey.

MMMM! The honey lime dressing is really great. You definitely want to use strawberries, cantelope, kiwi, and mango to have the visual effect.
