I thought this recipe had a great start, but was WAYYY too sweet. However, once I took the original recipe and used club soda instead of diet lemon-lime soda, it was much improved. Definitely not the worst low cal margarita-ish beverage I've ever had. I'll be making mine at home this way from now on. Adding 1/2 oz of triple sec isn't a bad idea, either... just adds a few more calories.

I love this recipe. I used the lemonade from Trader Jo's that does not use Aspartame! Awsome!

Fantastic. I quadrupled to make a pitcher and it got rave reviews at a recent party. I agree that you would never know it was low cal!

This was surprisingly good for a "diet" margarita. I followed the recipe exactly, except I added a few drops of orange extract to substitute for the Cointreau which I usually put in a margarita. It added a nice flavor!

I used Sprite Zero for the soda...simply awesome, also I used lemon juice sweetened with stevia, froze the lemon juice in ice cube tray, used in place of some of the ice....Yumm!

I try to use real lemonade with this recipe and it's quite tasty, but I the other night I ran out of lemons so I used this new vodka called Voli Vodka that my husband picked up from the store a week ago. It's made with real lemons and has 25- 40% fewer calories than other vodkas and has electrolytes to keep you hydrated. Talk about an even skinnier margarita than this! Can't beat it!
