Served these at a tailgate. Former football player..."What are these made of? Unicorns?" Enough said.

This sauce is brilliant!!! After trying this sandwich the first time, I became so crazed for more that I took shortcuts, like using a high quality pre-made waffle in the deli section and a high quality frozen breaded chicken breast because I simply couldn't wait to get my fix. But now I have plans to experiment with using the sauce in other ways. Just fabulous!

MMmmmm good. I used toaster waffles because I was short on time and not a good multi tasker in the kitchen. Also, doubled the hot sauce and added cayenne to the flour and still had no heat. Slather the mayo on that's what makes the sammy.

This is a delicious heart attack waiting to happen. My family loved it but it is not an everyday meal.

My family loves this recipe. The combo of chicken, bacon, cheddar, and the sweet spicy sauce makes me mouth water just thinking about it. Your family will love it as much as mine.

This recipe is great! I changed a few things to make it my own but the sauce really makes the recipe and pulls everyting together

This was really good! The waffles were really crisp and the sauce was fabulous (although I did end up adding more horseradish and mustard to it to kick up the spice. The sauce was even better a couple of days later after it had time to meld and intensify. I didn't have the ingredients for the chicken so I just used Paula Deens fried chicken recipe (and added the spices recommended by this recipe. Next time, I'll make sure to have all the ingredients. Regardless, it was really good!

As soon as I heard what she was making, I knew, win or lose, I was going to try this! I was at the store today and picked up the stuff I knew I needed from the show, but like the other reviewer, I missed that there was bacon on it from the show airing, I hadn't looked for the recipe beforehand. I have a round waffle iron that makes a pretty thin waffle, so splitting them horizontally was not going to happen. The other adaptation I made was a full chicken breast - tenders are just too expensive, and I actually prefer the fuller, thicker, juicier texture of a full chicken breast, so I bought half breasts on the bone, cut them off the bone, and pulled the tenders off for my daughter's sandwich. My husband and I each had one full breast (pound it so it's even if you're going to try it this way and it fit the half moon of the round waffle. I added more horseradish and dry mustard to the sauce, too, because it was a little too mild for me, I couldn't taste the kick at all - but she was smart to go with those ratios for a national palate - just make it the way the recipe states and add more to your taste. I was amazed at how, while you need napkins, that sauce will drip, it holds together so well - and the flavors together are incredible! My husband loved it, but he did keep saying it needed bacon - but that was my miss, so I can't wait to do it again with the bacon. I tasted my daughter's sandwich, made with the tenders, and I highly recommend the full breast. While still good, the tenders are so much softer and the chicken isn't as prevalent, making the waffles over take the chicken. I loved the balance with the full breast. I will make this again often, I can't wait to see what others think of it!
