This was amazing! This was my first try at a traditional classic potato salad and I followed the recipe exact except for adding hard boiled eggs and paprika. I also didn't have any thyme left so I used a blend of italian spices and oregano and it turned out wonderful! My boyfriend said it was awesome. This will definitely be my traditional potato salad recipe!

This is a great potato salad recipe! It's wonderful as it is, although I sometimes add a little celery seed and/or boiled egg.

As mentioned before, to avoid salty potato salad, be sure to use kosher salt, and that only 1 teaspoon goes in the salad, the other 2 tablespoons go in the boiling water.

This is one of the best potato salads that I have had. Easy to make and everyone loved it.

Add a coarsley chopped hard boiled egg or two and it's like being 8 years old in the back yard again. One more time for those who think it's too salty - you cannot replace kosher salt with table salt. Table salt is much "saltier". Also, if you read the recipe only a teaspoon of salt actually goes in the salad, the rest just goes in the cooking water.

I'm not a big potato salad fan, but, this was the freshest tasting potato salad I've ever had. Not real heavy. I could eat this all the time!

i have made this potato salad twice and added chopped hardboiled eggs and paprika, doubled the amount of relish, and used half as much onion. soaking the onions in cold water helped with the "over onion-y" taste. overall good dish!

Easy, fast recipe with good flavor but I would decrease the salt next time and use about half of what the recipe calls for (1 Tbsp. instead of 2.5 Tbsp. Went very well with the BBQ Brisket for a nice contrast in flavor and "heat".

Didn't change a thing. It's easy to make, and has a great natural flavor so often lost in more complicated recipes. This is the potato salad of my childhood. It is a keeper for us.
