Completely amazing! Great flavor depth, simple to make and the perfect dish to make ahead and bake later in the week!

Very Good! I used ground turkey and put roasted garlic in the mashed potatoes. I did find that it took a bit longer to prepare so use this for a weekend or make-ahead.

This was a hit with my family. I have just recently been cooking with venison and this recipe was perfect with the very lean meat. Followed the recipe and used left over mashed potatoes from the night before. My husband loved it and has requested me to make this for his brother and my 5 year old son just loved it. I have a cheaters version and just wanted to take the extra steps to make this and wow what a difference. I will no longer make the "other" version.

Pickiest eater ate it. Rest of the family gobbled it up. I cooked the beef separately and drained it before adding it to the veggies...don't cook them together and then drain away half of your flavor. Do take the time to cook the tomato paste into the veggies. (Cook & drain the beef while you wait.. I was a bit short on potatoes so I diced what I had and added some frozen hash browns to the water about 10 minutes into the cooking. Weirdly that worked fine. Mashed it all together after another 10. Also added cheddar and some crumbled leftover bacon to the potato topping, cause....why not? Scrumps.

Fantastic- I added tarragon to the meat and cream cheese to the potatoes. It was even a huge hit with my very picky British in-laws!!

A very solid shepherd's pie recipe. I love the tomato pasty worchestshire saucy taste. Of course you use ground turkey, I always do.
