This recipe is devine! My husband and his friends gave me a lot of praise for it. This dessert will be a part of my collection for sure! Thank you Barefoot Contessa! You've done it again!!!

I love this crisp. It's easy, it's delicious and it makes the most of autumn fruit. In the words of Ina Garten, "What's not to like?"

I used a combination of 6 Bartlett pears and 4 apples -- and still delicious. Leftovers are equally yummy, crisp even when heated in the microwave. Must be all that butter!

I love this recipe. Everything Ina makes is wonderful. Even the fanciest dishes makes you feel like you can do anything because they feel so easy to make and so down to earth. I can (and do watch repeats of Ina's shows without getting tired of them. I love watching the obvious affection between Ina and Jeffrey, and how he loves testing her recipes. I have one at home too. This recipe is wonderful, makes you feel warm all over, makes me think of home (NY. GREAT GOING INA :-

Ina has a recipe called "Pear, apple & cranberry crisp" which is essentially the same thing with the addition of dried cranberries, in her cook book, Barefoot Contessa at Home. I adore that recipe but instead of using 3/4 cup of dried cranberries, I use dried cherries instead. However, I cut back on the sugar a little bit because it tends to be on the sweet side.

This recipe was fanastic. I loved it from start to finish. It was very simple. I used mcintosh apples and actually put each serving in ramekins. Everyone loved it and I'm taking it over to my moms for Thanksgiving!

I don't know how Ina Garten does it. Some of her recipes are incredibly simple, but taste like you spent hours in the kitchen. This is one of my favorites and has become my "signature" dish. You can really use any kind of apple. I prefer granny smith. This recipe is easy and super delicious. Thanks, Ina.

The topping for this crisp is excellent. Very crispy and tasty. Not gummy or doughy. The filling tastes great w/ a hint of citrus. Definitely a keeper! Thanks Ina.

Ina, your recipes are always out of the park, and this proved no different! I made this recipe exactly the way written with two exceptions. I used ambrosia apples and I added a little brandy to the apple and pear mixture.

This crisp came out wonderful and my boyfriend, who is not a big dessert fan, just kept raving about it! Will definately make this again!
