This recipe is easy and fun to make. The dough was just perfect and the way you put the whole thing together is fast and really fun. The rustic appearance makes it a casual and unusual presentation.

This style of apple crisp was wonderful... although I would recommend not putting in too much orange zest.

Resist the urge to add more orange zest. Perfect how it is.

I know i'll be making this dessert again because my husband and I ate most of it in one night! The recipe was easy to follow. The crust, crumbly crusty but moist on the inside, the apples, tasty. Thanks Ina!

I have been terrified by baking, and have stayed away from anything resembling a pastry; however, after watching this show, and observing the ease in which the crust can be made, I decided to make it for a dinner party...it was the hit of the party!!!! To my delight, the crust was moist and flaky, several of us went bak for seconds. Thanks, Contessa, for making baking simple for those of us that did not have the confidence to do it.
Sincerely,
Dori Martin
