What a wonderful treat. It's hard to believe that something that easy and humble looking can come out of the oven so crispy, golden, and delicious. I easily halved the recipe the first time through, and am glad I did -- because I can't wait to use the other half of the puff pastry to make another batch for company. My only change would be to use sparkling sugar on the tops for a bit of posh. Thanks Ina. This is a definite keeper.

Wow! This recipe is amazing. I would def recommend adding extra sugar to the apple mixture because it is a little bland for my taste. Yum!! Will make again!

Easy to make and so good. After reading all the reviews, I bought two boxes of the pastry puff and ended up making 16 turnovers. I didn't have any dried cherries so I used raisins. I also sprinkled cinnamon sugar over the egg wash and then drizzled caramel sauce over the top before serving. My two boys to include my husband loved them. I'll definitely make these again.

Quick, easy and a tasty use of all those backyard apples. I had a basket of apples that had to be used pronto and I didn't have the time or energy to make my standard apple pie. SO, I tried these on the fly this morning instead and they were a big hit. Will make again.

These were pretty good. I followed everything exactly. I had a lot of leftover filling so next time I will only use 2 apples. Also, I would make an icing to drizzle over the top to cut some of the tartness of the apples and cherries. In the future I will also try raisins and craisins to see if it is just as good.
