Delicious. All you have to do if you don't want messy Arugula is to put it underneath the tomatoes. So good. Ina is the best!

I made these for a party as appetizers and I really enjoyed the flavor and how easy it was. I did put just a hint of olive oil on the arugula and tossed with salt and pepper. The arugula can be a little messy (falls off if you put too much on the toast. I also made tartines with avocado (like a chuncky spread, turkey ***** and havarti with dill. Yum. I liked it so much, I made it for lunch the next day with the leftover ingredients.

My family really enjoys this dish. We have also tried it using french bread, and it was just as tasty. My children prefer this dish with baby spinach than the arugula. Thanks for such an easy and enjoyable dish!

I'm watching this episode right now, and Ina puts these tartines under the broiler for a few minutes, which is not in the recipe here online. Seems kind of important.

I toasted the bread first then broiled the tomatoes seprately for five minutes. The goat cheese spreads better if the bread is warm. Allow the bread and(I used herb goat cheesegoat cheese to cool then place tomatoes and arugula on top. Top this off with pine nuts and your party will be a hit.

I had never tried goat cheese or arugala before. I guess they didn't suit my taste buds.

I served this as an appetizer at a dinner party last weekend and they went fast. Would also make for a great light lunch.
