I always just cooked my salmon with salt, pepper, and olive oil. I was scared to stray from that, worrying that I wouldn't like it. I saw this and decided to give it a shot....WOW! This was absolutely delicious. I reserved part of the marinade to drizzle over the salmon once cooked, but ended up not using it--the salmon was great as is. I drizzled a little on the rice - it was all right. Next time I'll just buy a pre-seasoned rice to compliment the salmon. You've gotta try this!!

My background is Vietnamese and my husband's is Thai, and we simply loved this Asian salmon recipe. It was sooo easy to make with such simple ingredients, yet the taste was very authentic. My husband uses the marinade on his rice. Easy to whip up any day of the week.

I made this tonight for the first time. It was simple but very elegant. Four adults loved it and I would serve it at a dinner party in a minute.

At first I did not think the ingredients went together, but I know Ina never fails...and she didn't. It was excellent. Just be sure not to use a heavy soy sauce. Just use a regular soy sauce and it will not be too salty. My husband loved it and me too. And...it was easy!

I love this recipe. It is so fast, easy, and I always have all of these ingredients on hand (even frozen salmon fillets. Out of laziness, I broiled this rather than grilling, but it turned out wonderfully and the marinade carmelized a bit around the edges. Next time I might try mixing in a small amount of brown sugar just to sweeten it up a bit, but it's great as is.
