    I baked the potatoes just as directed. They turned out FANTASTIC! The skins looked perfect! The inside of the potato was perfect! This is by far the best and easiest way to bake a potato. No foil, no poking, no mess. It made it easy to serve the potato just on its skin with basic toppings- butter, sour cream, and chives. My potatoes were large and it took exactly 60 minutes. This recipe is a keeper!

    I have made hundreds of baked potatoes in my life, but this simple trick of cooking them directly on the oven rack made them absolutely spectacular. I will never make baked potatoes another way again. Love this tip!
