Not one of her better dishes

I served this at a dinner party along with filet of beef tenderloins and all 12 of my guests said it had too much of a citrus taste. I would make it again and leave out the lemon serving it on the side.

    Party in Your Mouth

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I've already made this four times and I'm not tired of it yet! It's an infusion of flavors that burst in your mouth! I am not what you'd consider a wonder in the kitchen. In fact, I rarely cook. Yet, this recipe was so easy (just some chopping) and it came out as a superb dish. I've invited friends over to try it and all have demanded the recipe! It's worth the try to attempt this one at home!

    Our new favorite

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
We have made this 3 times now- for ourselves and twice for company and it gets rave reviews (and requests for the recipe) every time. This last time, we actually had a few leftovers for some reason (we served it as an appetizer) and they were just as good the next day. A definite save.

This recipe is so hard to screw up... it is just great, I used a stick less butter and it still turned out great!

I made this last week. I didn't get the size shrimp that Ina used, I forgot when I went to the store what size..anyway..I had purchased smaller shrimp also only had one pound instead of 2. So I knew I would have more marinade and topping left over. I had 2 frozen tilapia fillets in the freezer so I thawed them. I really didn't have much marinade left..so I just put some lemon juice on the tilapia then spread some of the topping on the fish and baked in a gratin dish along side the dish with the shrimp. I think I actually prefered the flavor of the fish and topping vs the shrimp! It really was wonderful...the shrimp were "ok" but the recipe with fish was great...will most definately use again...it was pretty easy and very delish!!

    Love it!

This dish was easy enough for a week night, but elegant enough for a dinner party. I excluded the wine and rosemary and it came out just perfect!

    Excellent!!!

I just finished making this dish for a ladies luncheon. I served it with lemon parsley noodles, garlic parmesan toasts and a salad of organic greens and fresh mushrooms with a citrus vinaigrette dressing. One of my guests is a serious foodie and she said she had not tasted anything this good in all her restaurant meals this year!!! She literally fished my leftover bread out of my plate so she could sop up the sauce in her plate!!! LOLOL!!! I assembled the dish last night and just popped it into the oven while the noodles were cooking. Everything came together in just a few minutes and I was still able to enjoy my guests. It was really easy and it made me look like a rock star!! My only issue (and it has nothing to do with the recipe) is that I had to buy unpeeled shrimp to be able to get the size I wanted and all the peeling, deveining and butterflying was a bit tedious for my in-and-out-of-the-kitchen-in-20-minutes psyche. LOL!! I would unequivocally recommend this dish to anyone who wants to impress their guests without a lot of work. Ina is the only FN chef whose recipes I will serve to guests without even trying them out first. I would trust her with my most important events anytime!! Thanks, Ina, for a wonderful recipe!!

    OMG!

This was definitely restaurant quality!! My husband, who had recently retired, has become a foodie! He made this dish for me when I got home from work. Not only did the presentation impress me, it was absolutely delicious! I was floored when he told me the amount of butter he used because I would have halved it, at least, as I've made crumb toppings like this with half the amount. He served it with sauteed spinach and jasmine rice, but I think I would use pasta next time. This will be a wonderful company dish, as it is impressive and can be made in advance. Thanks, Ina!

This was great and easy to prepare. I made the topping in the morning and assembled the dish just before baking. I served it with thin spaghetti tossed with oil, garlic and spinach.

    Tips on controlling salt content

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Followed the recipe almost exactly (couldn't find shallots), and it turned out beautifully. I served this over linguini tossed in the remaining butter sauce. Please note: the recipe calls for kosher salt which is NOT THE SAME as table salt. Table salt has a finer grain, so there's more packed into each spoonful -- if you have been having trouble with your dish being too salty, this is probably why. Check your salt container - if it says "table salt," (the kind that comes in the shakers in restaurants), you will need to decrease the amount you use by anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 -- search on the internet for "kosher salt to table salt conversion." Also, most recipes I've seen default to using unsalted butter -- this may also have affected the outcome of your dish.

    A little too salty!

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
Unless I over did it it was a little too salty for us. I loved the flavor! I was concerned about the amount of butter but I will cut back next time based on other reviews. My daughter didn't like the rosemary so I'll definitely use fresh next time. I'll also place it under the broiler to make it crisp. A keeper!

This recipe was a great new way to prepare shrimp. Next time I'll use less butter because it really wasn't necessary. Hope DH will like it when he gets home! Thanks Ina!

I love to entertain friends with recipes that I can prepare ahead of time so I can truly enjoy time with them. This shrimp entre was not only easy to prepare, but the most delicious scampi I've ever tasted. Thanks again, Ina, for sharing your great make-ahead techniques!

    SSSOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I made this today and based on the reviews of other foodies, I make a few changes. I lessened the butter to 1 stick, the garlic to 3 cloves and about a tablespoon of fresh grated Parmesan cheese into the stuffing mix. I also added a pinch of cayenne to the shrimp marinade. It was awesome! It definitely a restaurant quality dish and it was SOOOOO easy! I'll definitely make this dish over & over again! I served it over angel hair pasta. It was a great meal with warmed garlic bread and a house salad. I cooked it in my convection oven on broil fo about 20 minutes. The shrimp were still tender and the topping was extra crunchy and a beautiful golden brown. I didn't butterfly the shrimp, I used medium shrimp and layered them in shallow baking dish.. I would definitely say make this dish!

    Excellent and Easy

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I just made this Scampi and my husband pronounced it better than restaurant versions because it wasn't too buttery or greasy. It had just the right lemon flavor, not overpowering. A forgiving recipe in that I didn't measure overly accurately. Very, very easy, nothing complex, just a little time to prep the shrimp. Would be great for company since you can do ahead. A real winner.

loved this dish but I didn't mince the rosemary enough and we had pretty big chunks of rosemary to pick thru. I would leave out the rosemary next time.

    Perfect!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I made this recipe last night for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Mine were not greasy at all. I only used 1 stick of butter and did not deviate from the recipe in any other way. The topping was perfect and even browned slightly without the use of the broiler. We will be making these again. They are also perfect for a dinner party as you can make them in individual ramekins and serve them that way. I hate to say it, but Ina's shrimp scampi is far better than my grandmothers and I didn't even think that was possible! Thank you, Ina for another great recipe.
