    Excellent and Easy!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I just made this dish for my husband and mother-in-law and it was a huge hit! It was so easy too. I didn't have shallots, so I left that out and cut the butter in half. I served it with rice pilaf and asparagus that I roasted in the oven along side the shrimp. It came out perfect! Thanks for a great recipe!!

Batter up! This recipe is a grandslam. With one taste your guests will leave their bases clean. A hard crusty bread makes quick work of the scampi sauce. Costco even has frozen raw, large shrimp already deveined with only the tail on. It doesn't get any easier than this!

    Kudos to the chef!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This may be one of the best shrimp scampi recipes I've ever eaten. Made it the night before and it was perfect the next day (although it took a bit longer to cook than I thought it would even though I took it out of the fridge almost an hour ahead of time). I live at the beach, so instead of salt & pepper, I used Old Bay seasoning. Not a big fan of lemon, so I omitted the lemon zest and used only a smidge of lemon juice. I also used a bit less butter... Served it with parmesean risotto and brandied carrots on the side... MAGNIFICENT!

    No More Red Lobster

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is by far my favorite from Ina. Being almost 5 1/2 months pregnant, this is my biggest crave. The flavor is fantastic in this dish. The preparation time is short and the cook time fast. I love that it can be made in advance, which will be perfect for dinner parties. I love butter with my shrimp and this has just enough but not too much where it is heavy. This dish has scored big points in this house! It will get me through the blustery winter in Minnesota and the next 3 1/2 months of pregnancy! :)

    Fantastic flavor!

I made this an it turned out absolutely delicious! It is a bit heavy on the butter but sooo well worth it for a guilty pleasure. The panko was key to this recipe; don't sub!

Flavorful & Easy Scampi - Family Pleaser

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I was so excited to try this recipe after watching the episode on TV. It was a delightful blend of traditional scampi flavors, with a crusty topping to vary from the ordinary. I served this on top of rice, where I usually serve Scampi on pasta. The sauce from the dish was lovely on the rice. I didn't have fresh parsley, so substituted thyme instead. Just great. Get your workout in before eating this though - butter-o-rama! Love you Ina!!!

I served this at a dinner party along with filet of beef tenderloins and all 12 of my guests said it had too much of a citrus taste. I would make it again and leave out the lemon serving it on the side.

    Party in Your Mouth

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I've already made this four times and I'm not tired of it yet! It's an infusion of flavors that burst in your mouth! I am not what you'd consider a wonder in the kitchen. In fact, I rarely cook. Yet, this recipe was so easy (just some chopping) and it came out as a superb dish. I've invited friends over to try it and all have demanded the recipe! It's worth the try to attempt this one at home!

    Our new favorite

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
We have made this 3 times now- for ourselves and twice for company and it gets rave reviews (and requests for the recipe) every time. This last time, we actually had a few leftovers for some reason (we served it as an appetizer) and they were just as good the next day. A definite save.

I made this last week. I didn't get the size shrimp that Ina used, I forgot when I went to the store what size..anyway..I had purchased smaller shrimp also only had one pound instead of 2. So I knew I would have more marinade and topping left over. I had 2 frozen tilapia fillets in the freezer so I thawed them. I really didn't have much marinade left..so I just put some lemon juice on the tilapia then spread some of the topping on the fish and baked in a gratin dish along side the dish with the shrimp. I think I actually prefered the flavor of the fish and topping vs the shrimp! It really was wonderful...the shrimp were "ok" but the recipe with fish was great...will most definately use again...it was pretty easy and very delish!!

This dish was easy enough for a week night, but elegant enough for a dinner party. I excluded the wine and rosemary and it came out just perfect!

    Excellent!!!

I just finished making this dish for a ladies luncheon. I served it with lemon parsley noodles, garlic parmesan toasts and a salad of organic greens and fresh mushrooms with a citrus vinaigrette dressing. One of my guests is a serious foodie and she said she had not tasted anything this good in all her restaurant meals this year!!! She literally fished my leftover bread out of my plate so she could sop up the sauce in her plate!!! LOLOL!!! I assembled the dish last night and just popped it into the oven while the noodles were cooking. Everything came together in just a few minutes and I was still able to enjoy my guests. It was really easy and it made me look like a rock star!! My only issue (and it has nothing to do with the recipe) is that I had to buy unpeeled shrimp to be able to get the size I wanted and all the peeling, deveining and butterflying was a bit tedious for my in-and-out-of-the-kitchen-in-20-minutes psyche. LOL!! I would unequivocally recommend this dish to anyone who wants to impress their guests without a lot of work. Ina is the only FN chef whose recipes I will serve to guests without even trying them out first. I would trust her with my most important events anytime!! Thanks, Ina, for a wonderful recipe!!

This was definitely restaurant quality!! My husband, who had recently retired, has become a foodie! He made this dish for me when I got home from work. Not only did the presentation impress me, it was absolutely delicious! I was floored when he told me the amount of butter he used because I would have halved it, at least, as I've made crumb toppings like this with half the amount. He served it with sauteed spinach and jasmine rice, but I think I would use pasta next time. This will be a wonderful company dish, as it is impressive and can be made in advance. Thanks, Ina!

This was great and easy to prepare. I made the topping in the morning and assembled the dish just before baking. I served it with thin spaghetti tossed with oil, garlic and spinach.

    Tips on controlling salt content

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Followed the recipe almost exactly (couldn't find shallots), and it turned out beautifully. I served this over linguini tossed in the remaining butter sauce. Please note: the recipe calls for kosher salt which is NOT THE SAME as table salt. Table salt has a finer grain, so there's more packed into each spoonful -- if you have been having trouble with your dish being too salty, this is probably why. Check your salt container - if it says "table salt," (the kind that comes in the shakers in restaurants), you will need to decrease the amount you use by anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 -- search on the internet for "kosher salt to table salt conversion." Also, most recipes I've seen default to using unsalted butter -- this may also have affected the outcome of your dish.
