I am a very experienced baker and this is by far the best chocolate cake receipe I've tried. I made it 2 days in a row. It was great the first day, I followed receipe exactly baking 35 mins. The 2nd day,I beat it a little longer and cooked it 5 minutes less and it was spectacular..flavorful, moist..yummy! I highly recommend. Next time I'll try a lighter filling maybe whipped cream and rasberry.

This cake was easy to make, but did not hold its shape. It was so moist that it fell apart when I tried to frost it. It tasted pretty good, especially the frosting, but the appearance was disappointing. Baking it in a 9x13 pan may work better than doing it in layers.

This was my very first attempt at making a cake from scratch. I borrowed my neighbors stand mixer and bought the best ingredients that I could find. I made this for a birthday dinner party that I held in my home. Everyone loved it...I was still getting compliments the day after!! Great recipe!

This cake was great! i could just eat the cake plain, but instead: i made the cakes and put Alton Brown's Chocolate Mousse in the middle of the layers and then topped the whole thing with a chocolate ganache. i brought it into work for a friend's birthday party and everyone kept asking where the cake was from - it looked so professional and tasted even better. yum. thanks Ina!

I made it in a bundt pan (buttered the pan and then dusted with cocoa and had no problems getting it out. It has a wonderful texture and was lovely and moist. I didn't have time to make the frosting, so I drizzled chocolate ganache over the bundt and it was a big hit. I will definately make it again!
