I made this cake for a birthday party, and everyone LOVED IT : I would recommend to reduce the cooking time by about 5 to 7 minutes. Just check on it a couple times.

I made this cake for 4th of July cookout with some friends. Everybody loved it including my family!!! It was gone in a very short period of time.
I did not change a thing, not even the raw egg...it was very moist and chocolaty and the frosting is to die for! Ina I love your show...you are very down to earth and have awesome recipes. Thanks!

The cake is simple and delicious. It stays moist through baking and even sits well for a couple days. The icing leaves something to be desired, but the cake is so wonderful you could use any icing... or even none! Also try baking it in individual souffle dishes for mini cakes.

Don't you love delicious surprises? I'm no super baker, but somehow I've graduated from Le Cordon Bleu with this recipe. Ladies' night last evening was heightened by this flavorful, light, moist delicacy.

My husband loved his piece of cake this morning for breakfast. I wonder if he would have proposed sooner had I been privy to this recipe while we were dating. What an excellent recipe to share with someone you're starting to date or want to marry!!!

The cake is easy to make. It is moist and pretty good. I felt it did not have enough chocolate flavor and will substitute Kathleen King's chocolate cake for this. But the frosting is amazing!! Perfect! I wish there was no raw egg. I will try it without next time. But this will be the only chocolate frosting I ever make from now on.
