I made the horseradish sauce this morning and it is fantastic. Too many other recipes this could be included. I have the tenderloin ready to go. I had the butcher trim & tie my tenderloin...Dijon/butter made and just waiting for my hubby to get home. When we watched the episode yesterday...We said this will be a weekend dinner...couldn't wait..he has been working hard and deserves a dinner like this!!! Thanks ahead of time!!! I know it will be delicious.

I cooked the beef filet last night for dinner for a special meal for my husband and I. Buy really good beef!! I served it hot with roasted potatoes and squash. I made the horseradish mayonaise for a sauce on the side. I wanted to make sure there was enough left over for sandwiches for lunch today and there was. My roast was only l 3/4 pounds. I did not cook it at 500 degrees, only about 435. Put a meat thermometer in and cooked it to medium rare. Melt in your mouth delicious!!
I believe the sauce is very similar to one Ina has made to go with a hot roast beef dinner. If you like beef you will not be disappointed.

This is a really simple recipe to follow and tastes wonderful. We didn't make sandwiches, but served on the plate as a main course with roasted vegetables. The sauce complements the beef wonderfully. We'll be making this one again.

And at a price of $16.99 per lb, it should be ;
Did not serve on bread, but over a bed of arugula on a plate. Sauce is just awesome...family looking for many things to add sauce to! As usual, a winner Ina! Looking forward to Chefology tonight.

I used Top round and the 20 minutes for 2 lbs worked great...rare! I did not prepare as a sandwich but as the mail entree with 2 sides.
We usually have left overs but with this dish we did not!
