WOW...i made the green goddess dressing last night and it was fantastic!! Probably the best dressing that I have ever made. Goes well with everything - I used it on a sandwich last night and today it's a veggie dip! I will definitely be making this again and again - everyone MUST TRY this recipe!!

Having never heard of the dressing, I am now told it was big in the 70s, I thought I'd give it a try. It is fantastic! What a great combination of flavors. I had a bit of trouble as I am not an experienced cook and was puzzled by the call for a cup of chopped basil and a cup of chopped scallions. I mean, how much of each is that really? So I just kept trying some while it was in the processor and adding a little bit more of each until I got the right blend.

Thanks Ina for another great recipe.

I've made this dressing a half dozen times now & plan on making it for my Christmas dinner. It is divine! I love it not just on salad, but also as a veggie dip. It does make quite a bit of dressing, so I've started cutting it in half. No changes to the ingredients; it is perfect as is!

I had my boyfriend make this dressing for me because it looked absolutely delicious on tv. I wasn't having high hopes on it though as this was the first thing I've ever taken off of tv and had it made in my own home.

Firs time trying it, I thought I died and went to heaven. This salad dressing is THE BEST I have ever had in my whole life. Better than anything served to me in a restaurant.

This will be a staple every summer from now on. Great way to use my abundant basil. Try it on a tomato sandwich, roasted chicken and variety of salad ingredients.

I'm sure this dressing is great as most all Ina's recipes are BUT...the story of the Palace Hotel in
San Francisco circa 1920 is all correct except that basil is not an ingredient--tarragon is the very predominant herb. All the rest is not only accurate but terrific! The hotel is still around and they still
    serve Green Goddess.
