I made it yesterday but haven't even added the basil and scallions yet, I'm getting those ingriedents tonight. It's good already, I'm sure it will be super delish with the main ingriendents added. Barefoot rocks, seriously she does!

I'm a huge salt fan and it is salty - and yes I use Kosher Salt as she says. If you're not a salt lover, ease up on it you can always add it later.

I made this very close to the directions except, I put 5 green onions instead of 6 or 7. I is a matter of taste. I will try the other suggestion of using low fat stuff next time.
thank Barefoot Contesa... this is the first recipe I have tried of yours and look forward to trying more.

Since it's just my boyfriend and I, I decided to cut the recipe in half (used Lowfat Hellmans Mayo and Reduced Fat Sour Cream. Tastes AMAZING and next time will add crumbled blue cheese to the salad. Kinda like a herby blue cheese dressing, YUM!

This is perhaps my favorite dressing recipe of all time! My husband LOVES it as well and we can't wait to make this for our next party. We used this dressing for three days straight and could've kept on going if not for the fact that we ran out! Ina you are a goddess and have yet to let me down with your recipes.

Fabulous! Sons do not like alot of 'stuff' in their salad. This recipe is elegant, but simple- and tastes wonderful. A real treat!

Thanks Ina, for a easy and delicious dressing! I've loved it since I was a little girl. Now I can make it at home.

I made this after watching Ina make it on her show. Mine came out tasting a bit to salty. I may have used to much anchovy paste, but I also cut the salt back only adding 1 tsp. instead of 2. It could be that I didn't have enough basil, but it was still very good. The hubby LOVED it. So we had to have salad 2 nights in a row. I will make it again but will add more basil next time. Love your show Ina!

This is a great dressing! It has SO much flavor (and I didn't add the anchovy paste because I couldn't find any. It makes a lot of dressing, but it is great to dip veggies in as well as use as a dressing. I made mine with low fat mayo and sour cream and the flavor was still sensational (and it makes me feel a little less guilty eating so much of it!. I will be making this again and again!
