I'm not a huge fan of creamy, milky dressings but I remembered seeing this recipe on tv and decided to try it since I have been eating more salads and my usual dijon vinaigrette was getting a tad boring. I literally just got done making this and I must say... WOW. You could put this dressing on a football and it would taste delicious. I did what everyone else suggested and halved the recipe and waited till the end to add salt. Once I was done blending everything, I tasted it to check how much salt I needed, I realized I didn't need any at all, so I completely left it out. The anchovy paste is very salty as it is, so extra salt isn't necessary. I also added about 1/4 cup of fresh parsley to add some extra flavor. This dressing most definitely isn't low-fat but it sure is delicious. I suspect it would also make a great alternative to mayo on sandwiches and the like. Try it, it's amazing!!

The absolute best Green Goddess Dressing ever! Took it to my daughter's house for dinner. Even my 12 year old granddaughter loved it! Son in law took just the dressing the next day for lunch and dipped veggies in it. This will be a standard dressing in our house. I no longer buy bottled dressings because of all the crap in them so I'm always looking for good homemade dressings as we eat a lot of salad. I would encourage everybody to try this. Thanks Ina--another great recipe from you.

Just made this. Subbed dill and parsley for chervil, rice wine vinegar for lemon juice. YUMMY!
A new favorite.

Highly addictive dressing. For sure, use kosher salt and hold off on adding it till the last stage of blending, so that you can add it to your own preference. I happen to like the same amount as the recipe calls for. I have made this a handful of times for several different people and it disappears fairly fast. This is also a great dressing to toss with halved grape tomatoes as an interesting side dish. To thicken as a dip for crackers or veggies, just add a bit more sour cream.

Yummy!! I made the salad with salmon, and putting the dressing on the salmon was also very tasty!

This salad dressing is amazing! It's somewhat close to a ranch is creaminess, but way better and fresher. I will definitely be using this recipe a lot. The only thing I'd change is to halve the recipe, it makes way too much for just 1 head of lettuce.

Wonderful. Only change was to halve the kosher salt, as other raters suggested.

Super delish! Everyone loved it. Will make again and again! Wouldn't change anything, except for it makes a ton. You could cut this in half and still have plenty.

This was such a great change from the usual salad and dressing. I didn't add any anchovy paste. Next time I make it I'll probably put in a little less lemon juice and pepper but that's just personal preference.
