I have made this recipe many times now and every time it is wonderful. Not much effort for a really great cake!

I have made this cake twice and it came out wonderful both times. I will make this cake again and again. I did think that the chocolate glaze on top was better when it had a chance to harden slightly on top of the cake. Delicious!

I found that this cake tasted so much better after sitting for a day after making it. After a day or so, the cake seemed to taste much more moist. Regardless, the cake comes out beautifully and looks quite impressive for the little effort that is put into it. Will definitely be making this again!

I was asked to bring this cake to a group dinner but after making it I was uncomfortable serving it to anyone. The chocolate overpowers the lightness of an angel food cake. I made Ina's lemon angel food cake to bring to the dinner instead and it was wonderful. I also brought the Black and White cake and we all sampled it in the kitchen and came to the same conclusion- throw this cake out!

I made this recipe out of the at home cookbook - it was a Christmas present for my friend - so I tried it out. It was so delicious! There we only four of us for dinner so I put the chocolate sauce on each slice before serving so the cake would not become mush while being stored.

I have now made this cake three times and I get rave reviews. I used very good chocolate for the cake and followed the recipe very closely. It is wonderful. The chocolate ganache is very very good. Thanks Ina.

This was a very easy cake to prepare. My entire family LOVED it. It was moist and all the chocolate stayed evenly dispersed throughout the cake. Thanks for yet another wonderful recipe from the Barefoot Contessa! As Ina would say..."Fabulous."

I made this cake in the middle of the night two nights ago because I couldn't sleep and it was completely gone by the next afternoon. My two girls kept going back for more and my husband ate half of it by himself. They always love my cooking but I can't remember a cake disappearing that quickly. I only got one slice! It's so light but still has a nice consistency and the ganache is so perfect with it.

This cake is delicious and for those who love angel food cake, it's a nice surprise to find the chocolate in the cake and also on top! Since it uses around 10 egg whites, it's good to make homemade ice cream with the egg yolks and serve the ice cream with the cake.

    Tastes really good.

This was so easy and very inexpensive to make. I served it to my family but wouldn't hesitate to entertain with it as well. Beware this makes more than enough ganache.
