They turned out to be good but nothing mind-blowing. The texture of the blini and the salmon is similar. I'd prefer it with a slightly crunchy base instead of a blini... maybe a not-too-crispy crostini. I also think sour cream would taste better than creme fraiche.. she does mention both in the recipe. I didn't find fresh dill so I used dill paste from a tube. Of course dill would've been nicer.

I used whole wheat flour instead of buckwheat flour and my blinis turned out to be fine. Didn't want to get a pack of buckwheat flour just for one appetizer.

I made these to take to a party. We loved them but didn't get any rav e reviews from the guests. Nobody said how good they were so I'm not sure how they went over.

Loved them! My husband is usually not a fan of smoked salmon so I did the other half with Prosciutto. He actually loved both.

Yum! I made this for a party of ten and there were WAY too many! Might want to cut this recipe in half for a smaller group. However, they were reallllly yummy.

I made a practice batch of the blinis. I wanted to see if I could make them the day before a party. I chilled them and then put them in a 200? oven to take
the chill off. We don't like smoked salmon so I used roasted salmon instead. They were wonderful. I will for sure be making them for my next party. Another great recipe from Ina!

I made over 100 of these for a Holiday open house and they were a huge hit. I made the pancakes the night before the party and wrapped them in plastic they were perfect. I only doubled the pancake recipe but was able to make 105 silver dollar sized pancakes. Note a little dill does a long way so don?t purchase too much. Enjoy!

These are terrific - even better with some good caviar. The only problem is that they really are only good when they are warm so invite your guests into the kitchen and have them watch. Or better yet, get them involved.

We have lox and bagels almost every morning and this is a great alternative... I look forward to making it for an appetizer at our next dinner party too. Thanks,Ina!

This is a keeper. It is so very easy and so very, very good. I will be doing this one for a long time to come.
