Very tasty cocktail! I doubled the lemon and salt, then added a teaspoon of pepper juice.

These were outrageous! This is the best recipe I've found for a bloody mary. Only change I made is, I substituted Old Bay Seasoning for the salt. Love the seasoning so I snuck it in. Thanks Ina for the recipe.

I used my Blendtec and it was great. I took fresh horseradish root (aprox. 1 1/2 inches, celery, onion, lemon juice and some of the tomato juice and blended it first. Then just slowly stirred the rest together. It was great.

I used the recipe to "dress up" regular V8 to spicy!

This Bloody Mary was one of the best I have ever had and was, by far, the best one I have ever made. I made them for the first time today for a baby shower and left out the vodka so people could add it or have a "Virgin Mary".
I loved that the video was online so I could watch Ina make it, but I have the cookbook too and the recipe was easy tofollow.
Ina makes everything seem easy and do-able. That is why I love her and her show. Barefoot Contessa and Ina are definitely my favorites on the Food Network! Thanks, Ina.

I've made this recipe 3 times now and I only change one thing. I don't add the kosher salt because my tomato juice (V8 is salty enough. This is refreshing and very enjoyable. Thanks Ina!

I usually like Ina's creative interpretations of recipes, but this one was a disappointment. The flavor was great, but the texture was awful. I like thick Bloody Mary mix... thick and SMOOTH. This concoction was thick and gritty... felt like I needed to floss and brush afterwards. I even ran all the mix through a powerful blender -- this was after the food processor step. I'll stick with my previous Bloody Mary mix recipe.

Could not give a full five star rating because although very fresh tasting, the drink was dull - we like some spice her in Southern California. My "Bloody Mary" expert needed to jazz his up - to his 6 oz. drink (over ice, he added a few more drops of both Worcestershire and hot sauces, as well as a hefty dash of cayenne and more fresh lemon juice. Once you try this concoction, you will be hard-pressed to enjoy the pre-mixed blends in the grocery store or cocktail lounges.
