I have been wanting to try these so I made them for a party last night. Everyone loved them and they were gone in no time. Several people asked for the recipe since this is just perfect with wine or cocktails, plus you can make ahead of time. Thanks Ina!!

Simply scrumptious! Great savory offering. Made these for a social gathering and the recipe was requested by 1/2 dozen people to use at their cocktail parties. People keep requesting for me to make these. (Did use pecans instead since I didn't have walnuts on hand.

I just made these and they are fabulous! I also think we're supposed to flip the crackers over as opposed to rotating the pan, as one side was super brown and the other was not. Served with strawberries and apple slices....:

If yours are too salty you are using table salt- USE KOSHER SALT. Kosher salt is about half as salty as regular table salt. This should fix the salt issue.

Wish I'd read the reviews first. Even though I always reduce the amount of salt Ina calls for, I was distracted and forgot to do so with this recipe. Result: Way too salty, in my opinion. Also, even though I like blue cheese I strongly disliked the smell of the crackers cooking. Will not be using this recipe again.

Next time I will slice them a tiny bit thinner, but these were easy and delicious. I used about a teaspoon of salt, and they were just right. I can't wait to try these with different cheese and nut combinations. Mostly goat cheese and candied pecans.

I thought these were very good. I used unsalted butter, gorgonzola and halved the salt. I eat my food VERY salty, and I thought the 1 teaspoon was just the right amount of salt.
I also added 1/4 cup of sugar because I love the sweet-salty combination. The cracker was slightly sweet, but nothing near shortbread or cookie level.
My one complaint about the cracker is that it was a bit greasy to the touch and taste - maybe because we ate them on the same day?
