I just made it for diner, served it with lamb chops and thought it was excellent. I do not generally like brown rice, but know it is a healthier choice, so I went searching for recipes. This one is definitely a keeper. I followed the directions except I didn't have quite enough tomatoes and used white wine vinegar.

This was really good. I used the parboiled brown rice in the envelope (2 cups of rice because that was what I had. It was dinner for two, so I cut the sauce recipe in half to go with the reduced amount of rice. We will definitely have this again.

Two thumbs up from the most critical food critic! even with rice vinegar and couscous it turned out great. Big Mahalo Barefoot Contessa, keep those recipes coming.

Now that summer is here we really need a great recipe for these tomatoes and boy is this it. I added some leftover grilled chicken breast meat in order to make this a complete meal and it is delicious. Ina is an awesome chef.

Very tasty; however I think I over cooked the rice. It wouldve been alot better hadn't I done so. Not any fault of the recipe, just my mistake. Will try it again this time keeping a stern eye on the rice. Great recipe though. Didnt use the full cup of basil, about half over it. Still added the zest though

This dish was crazy good! It's hard to believe that so few ingredients can create such a fantastic, strong flavor.

This is a great side dish. I used less basil, halved cherry toms, and white wine vinegar, brought it to a church picnic, it was the first dish to run out. It's a great way to use fresh stuff from your garden.
