hmmmm..first of I think the barefoot contessa is a genius...her recipes are so amazing.
BUT honestly, I thought this tasted like UNDERCOOKED brownies!!!!!! You know, brownies that come out of the oven waay too early.
I think i would have enjoyed regular brownies more instead of brownie pudding.
On a positive note, these are extremely quick and easy to make. And no shopping was required, I had all the ingredients on hand.
I love barefoot contessa recipes. Seriously love. But this one is probably my least favorite of hers...

Amazing!! I couldn't find the framboise, so I skipped that and added some instant coffee powder. It turned out amazing and the consistency and texture were perfect!! Love love love this recipe!

This dessert is very good. I cooled before serving and it was still gooey inside, but I bet it would be fabulous to serve warm right out of the oven with ice cream to get the true effect of "molten" "lava" cake. Easy to prepare.

So easy and delicious!! It has a similar consistency of flourless chocolate cake, especially on the next day. Very rich, moist, and chocolatey. Since I don't have framboise I put amaretto instead, but it was so subtle I couldn't taste it.
When I saw this on the show, I thought it was going to be something similar to her "Brownie Tart", which I also loved, but as a result brownie tart was a lot more set and cakey and this is so much more like a flourless chocolate cake.

This is a good dessert, but not great. I rarely have anything but rave reviews for Ina's recipes. This one missed the mark for my family. We weren't crazy about the crunchy top and super sweet "pudding".

Over the past 3 years, I've fixed this scrumptious and oh-so-easy dessert for countless guests who never cease to be amazed and dazzled by its pure chocolateness! The crunchy texture on top hiding the soft inner moistness is out of this world! It's a WOW dessert of the highest order!
