My ten year old son made this for our Valentine's dessert. I, of course, handled the alcohol. I substituted Kahlua for the Frambois. We served it warm, with vanilla ice cream and sliced strawberries. My husband, my son and I all really thought it was the best chocolate dessert we have had.

This is amazing! I substituted 1 tsp. vanilla for the vanilla bean and omitted the liquor. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly! Can't wait for hubby to get home and try his Valentine's Day dessert. It's going to be wonderful with a little vanilla ice cream.

I have made many of Ina recipe's and I have enjoyed everyone of them. This recipe is no exception, it is divine. I used very good cocoa, frambois and the vanila pod that it called for. I did cook it in a water bath and exactly for 1 hour. It came out perfect and very yummy. I would suggest you use the ice cream to cut the richness. This recipe could be tweeked many different ways[coffee, liqueurs, ect]which I will try next time. This is a dish that will be talked about if you serve it to guests.Happy cooking!

I have never made anything of Ina's that I didn't like.. This was no exception. Very easy and delicious!! I didn't use the liqueur, as I didn't have any. I added coffee instead.. Very yummy! Thank you Ina... Again!

EXCELLENT & EASY! As a long time admirer of all things 'Ina' - this is another, in a long line of amazing and amazingly simple recipes! Of course I rushed out to do this dessert 'justice' and purchased two of the rather expensive oval dishes - which of course are a long time investment - something I'm certain Jeffrey would appreciate - but this serves up as well in a square and or rectangular dish. This dish never fails to impress and or perform! And a good ice cream -Vanilla Bean of Coffee- is a wonderful addition. Enough said?

This is a great chocolate dessert without it being too rich or dark. Paired with some good vanilla bean ice cream, this is one of my favorite things to make when I need a chocolate fix. It also helps that my boyfriend is just as in love with it as I am!

Loved this recipe, used vanilla bean and a dash of coffee since I didn't have framboise, so so good. Water bath a must, and baked it for 1 hour exactly. I baked it in a pan that spelled the word "Jeffrey"..... Just for Ina! Ha I totally recommend this

I'm not sure if I agree with the other reviews. I thought it tasted like un-cooked brownie dough and nothing like either pudding or a brownie. Personally, I would rather have either chocolate pudding or a brownie. It was way too gooey and undercooked for my taste. Won't make it again.

I love Ina Garten and rarely anything that Ive tried from her books has failed . This was one of those situations . I used Hershey;s cocoa powder (extra dark . It was too bitter ( raw batter. I added more sugar . I followed all instructions and it came out runny, though I know its supposed to be gooey it was almost raw. It tasted funny too. I had to throw it away . What a waste of time and resources. Oh well.

Simply divine! Mine did need to bake for the full hour. I did check it at 30 minutes as was suggested below, but mine needed the full hour. So, so delicious.
