    Maybe I should have looked more closely at the reviews. I used regular salt (not kosher and it really was a tad bit too salty. Other than that I added rosemary to them and they were really good. The texture was nice and soft.

    Really good! Didn't find them too salty at all. Wonder if those reviews that said too salty used kosher salt? I made that mistake once and used regular salt in a recipe that called for kosher, it made a huge difference.

    Hands down, the best cheddar biscuits I have ever had! Guests loved them too. Should have doubled the recipe,they were disappointed that there weren't more. For those who thought they were too salty, the recipe states the extra "salting" is optional.

    not what I expected at all.... rolled out nice... toped with warm butter before serving.... Rave Reviews !!!.. may be cut the salt down... but a main stay at our meals.... Awesome!!

    This recipe is way too salty. No need for the salt on top and next time I'll use 1/2 teaspoon inside. Otherwise easy and yummy.

    Very good biscuits. The recipe is easy to recreate. I would add a bit more cheddar next time around for more of a cheesier taste. I thought the size of the biscuits were perfect.

    The recipe itself is good. Too salty for me, will use less salt next time. I omitted the extra salt on top, but I will also lessen what I cook with, as well. Cooking time is a bit too long, and biscuit size is a little too large for my desire, but none of these really have anything negative to do with the recipe, but rather my personal preference. Will make again :
