The potatoes were very creamy and delicious. Heating the milk and butter was no problem for me, I just took it off the heat once the butter melted so it wouldn't curdle.

These mashed potatoes were just OKAY. I don't know what went wrong with heating up the milk, buttermilk, and butter together....I put it on low and within a minute or so once the butter was melted into the milk...the milk curdled!!! I put it in my potatoes anyways. I had to cook the potatoes even longer during the simmering process because they weren't even done. I just feel like it needed more of something...like garlic, extra butter, etc. I want to try Alton's garlic mashed potatoes next. I usually love everything from Ina:(.

I made these on thanksgiving this year and they were super tasty. Very easy to make. The buttermilk added an extra creaminess that was a perfect addition.

These are really easy to make and very tasty. I used red potatoes and didn't add as much salt or pepper as outlined in the recipe. I needed just a splash of buttermilk to make the potatoes creamy. Everyone loved them. I will definitely make these again.

My family and I love this recipe, interesting that the little buttermilk really makes a difference. To date I have never found a recipe I didn't like by Ina I just love her.

Very good! Yukon Gold Potatoes are a must! A dollop of butter at the end just adds to it.

Great and delicious. I usually just add regular 2% milk to my potatoes, but the buttermilk did give it a great flavor and zing. And btw, a plain old potato masher works just fine.
