These turned out pretty good but I gave it a lot more pepper and used some habenero-jack cheese in it too to give it more of a kick. Easy to make!

Came out really well! You may want to add a little extra salt and pepper to give it some flavor.

Tried this recipe for the first time for our family's Thanksgiving meal! It was pretty tasty by itself but had a hard time standing out next to all the other Thanksgiving dishes. I think this recipe is good if you're just looking for good ol' mashed potatoes, but I would try adding chives or onion/garlic powder for a little extra flavor next time.

Ina does it again! I used the food mill and the potatoes were nice and creamy! I used Yukon Golds because I like the buttery flavor of the potato. Will definitely make again and again!

First of all I dont have a food mill but I am going to get me one! Secondly, I followed these mashed potatoes exactly as written and used a potato masher and they where really delicious. I did have a mix of Yukon Gold and Baby White Potatoes as I didn't have quite enough Yukon Gold on hand. Not to tangy from the buttermilk. Nice butter salt pepper ration. I liked em! Thanks again (It was a great way to use up some buttermilk from my Cheddar Biscuits that I have made twice...they are so delicious! Kudos Mrs. Ina!

The butter milk added a faint, but very nice zing. We loved them. Served with Ina's buttermilk fried chicken. Sunday dinner at it's best! Thanks Ina.

I love to try different things and surprise my boyfriend! I had never made mashed potatoes (I'm a new cook : and wanted to try. I chose this recipe because I trust Ina. I was a bit worried because I didnt have the food mill. I just mashed the potatoes up with a fork, trying not to over mash them. They came out oh so creamy. I'll probably add less salt or add to taste because I thought the potatoes were just a little too salty. My boyfriend loved them. We loaded our potatoes by adding bacon, cheese, chives, and sour cream....YUM YUM YUM
    Thanks Ina!
