The dressing is half the reason this sandwich is so good! Bottled dressing does not compare to making a fresh dressing. Take the 10 min it takes to make it, it will make a difference!

This was great!!! The only thing I would suggest is to save yourself some time and just buy a dressing instead!

This is one of the most delicious sandwiches I have eaten. I have made this sandwich many, many times. I have taken it on picnics and everyone raves about it. I do however purchase the dough from a local resturant and bake my own bread.

Everything in this sandwich has a purpose, and nothing should be left out. The caesar dressing was as good as any restaurant's, the sun-dried tomatoes added some sweetness and the parmesan contributed a salty kick. I'm amazed at how good it is; it tastes like something you'd get at a high-priced bistro.

I liked this sandwich and so did the family. It was simple and tasty. I swapped out romain lettuce for arugala, roasted red peppers for sundried tomatoes and bacon for pancetta all and all very good. Served with a pasta salad on a very hot day it was great!
    Thanks Ina.

Again, the Barefoot Contessa has amazed me. I made this sandwich on a lazy Saturday with the family and it was incredible. Next time I entertain for lunch this is going to be the highlight of the day! It tasted like I bought it at a gourmet store. It was quick and easy and the dressing was so flavorful. Can't wait to make it again.

I've been making this sandwich for several years and it is a staple at gatherings. I absolutely love the flavors. However, I must admit, I use bacon instead of pancetta. I just love this recipe and so does everyone else. Ina never fails to deliver time and time again!

I've made this recipe once as wriitten and it was absolutely fantastic! Even my picky 6 year loved it. His exact words were "This one's a keeper, Mom!" First time around I served it with a pasta & artichoke salad but I think next time I'm going to serve it with a homemade creamy tomato soup.

This is delicious. I love the dressing. Next time I may just buy a rotisserie chicken to save time. Had everything on hand except the proscuitto and anchovy but will make sure I have those next time. My husband told me that "I cook like a restaraunt chef". Can't beat that! The Contessa never disappoints.
