Can somebody tell me why this is California Iced Tea? This Recipe has nothing in common with California. The authod Ina Garten is even not living in Califrnoa.

I live in San Francisco and love local www.tejava.com tea with no sugar.

This is very good and refreshing but in most circles is traditionally called an "Arnold Palmer". You can ask for it in most restaurants and they mix half lemonade and half ice tea. It's great and easy to make. I even use Splenda instead of sugar for a lower calorie drink.

Here in Southern California we do not add sugar to our tea.
In my opinion sweet tastes gross and should stay in the southern regions of the USA.
My favorite tea is green jasmine tea(2bags w/ black tea(3bags, let sit out in the sun all day and you have the perfect California sun tea.
No sugar or lemon juice just pure refreshment.

This has been a favorite of mine for years. I've lived all over California, and we call it an Arnold Palmer here. Name not important, flavor is great!

I'm going to give this a 5 even though the recipe is not how I usually make this, the end result is still good.

I find this works better if you use a simple syrup to mix into the tea instead of just stirring in sugar. The sweetness just seems more smooth that way and when you stir sugar in sometimes it doesnt all get blended.

We Californians at least where I am in the South call this an Arnold Palmer. At least this is what you will get if you ask for that at most chain restaurants and bars. I wasn't aware of it just being a regional thing.

I have been drinking this tea for years. It's a perfect summer drink, but good year round! My grandma used to make it all the time using "sun" tea,and frozen lemonade. She would always call it tiger tea,so that's what we always call it.Whatever you call it,try it!You will love it!
