I love this drink. The orange juice takes the edge off the bitterness of the Campari.

I liked the taste. I made it with the recommended measurements, and needed a huge cup, not a highball glass! The recipe calls for 18 oz of liquids. This cannot be for one drink! I think I got three drinks out of it. Did I miss something?

I personally love Campari, but understand the objection to the bitterness. I have found that a little sweet vermouth sweetens and enhances the flavor of the Campari. This is a pretty good cocktail.

This drink tastes like quinine water/grapefruit juice. If you enjoy that taste, than you will like this beverage. Otherwise, don't bother with the expense of the Campari. I wish I had read the reviews before I made it.

I haven't tried Ina's recipe yet...but there's always tonight. I make my campari spritzer with equal amounts of campari and sweet vermouth. Tastier for those who like it sweeter AND it stretches the more expensive campari.

I thought this was refreshing, a nice summer drink. I used store bought OJ and a little less San Pelligrino and it was pretty good. The Campari was rather expensive so I hope I can find some more uses for it.

    For the last reviewer:

Who buys a full bottle of a bitter liqueur they have never tried?
Caveat emptor! Campari is very bitter. What a shocker!

    For this drink:
The harsh Campari bitterness is weakened by the sweet, fresh orange juice and the sparkling mineral water. Of course, as with all drinks, fresh is best. In a pinch, I buy Simply Orange and it gives me my Campari fix. If you have never had this liqueur, this drink is a very good introduction to Campari. It keeps the taste of the traditional Campari and Orange (without the strong bitterness.

It was horrible! I am flabergasted! I also bought into the William Curley chocolate thing and didn't have to pay because the chocolates tasted like bleach. Ina is wonderful but the products she hawks are awful! I spent 40 dollars getting all the ingredients for the Campari Spritzer. It tasted worse than my husbands cough medicine he just got. Ina should never say it is wonderful if it is not. I am tired of following her suggestions. I will watch the show and never bite again on things like that.

I LOOOOOVE Campari, especially straight up, but then I am Italian!! I love it with orange juice or sparkling water as well. Italians and Europeans are famous for bitter drinks. Before a meal, an aperitif, it stimulates your appetite (as if you'd really need it, right?!.
    Great drink Ina!
