I made this tonight using a bag of romaine mix because I couldn't find the arugula. Took a lot of time preparing everything for "the final mix" and was so disappointed when I served it for dinner. I found the blue cheese totally overpowering; maybe I'd like it better with a mild feta or something else. The bacon was unnecessary too. Didn't add anything special. Won't be making this one again.....Sorry Ina

Once again a real winner. This tastes so good. The orange, zest not to mention maple syrup dressing - blue cheese/apple need I go on. What's not to like. I fixed it last night....and...YES...we are having it again tonight.

I made this salad for my friends for the first time and everyone loved it.
I did changed the greens to spring mix. This combo was also great. I have also made the dressing with vegtable oil and it also turned out great. Even
the guys at the table came back for seconds. looked like a resturant salad if you know what I mean. Great job Ina.

This was our first time to try arugula. This salad is amazing. The combination of flavors, from the sweet cranberries, crunchy walnuts and apples, to the salty bacon and blue cheese and peppery arugula, everything works together. My husband never goes back for seconds on salad, but this time he cleaned the bowl. Good job, Ina.
