I love this dish! I have made it over and over, I never get tired of it. Everyone that I have made it for loves it. I'm so happy when I make a dish and it comes out so well and people enjoy it.

Excellent dish! I made this as a last minute addition to a gathering at my house. (I really wanted to use up the squash. It was a hit with even the most picky guest. Shared some the next day with my co-worker. I used dark brown sugar and four tablespoons of melted butter instead of six.

Great taste, does not get watery like boiled or steamed. Very easy too. Love Ina, great recipes that are easy to follow.

Great recipe and very easy to make. My changes: I cut the butter way down, sprinkled a little allspice and drizzled a little maple syrup on, too. You don't have to first stir it with your hands if you are willing to stir the pieces occasionally while they roast, plus that helps you keep an eye on the doneness. I believe that Ina's video shows a very easy way to peel the butternut squash.

I made this as a dessert and it was wonderful! I added crushed walnuts as well to add texture and served it with a bit of whipped cream! My husband was very sceptical but ended up loving them and ate the entire pan!
