I usually LOVE Ina's recipes, and have never had any issue, EXCEPT this one. The taste was very bland, perhaps because I used fresh nutmeng that I grated, I maybe should have used more. Mine also seem dry, as if I should have had more sauce.
I used the very expensive gruyere cheese as this was for Christmas Eve dinner, and I even added a nice white wine to the sauce,
I will try this again just because of all these wonderful reviews, I perhaps did something wrong, but I will use jarred nutmeg, no wine and see what happens, but for now, a 1 star rating.

I made this for a party and it was the only dish that was completely emptied by the guests. It's so tasty. I found out that I needed more cauliflower than I thought. Bear that in mind when at the store.

Excellent recipe. My cauliflower was small so I added red potatoes. I also added garlic to the white sauce which was delicious. I will make this again using swiss cheese instead of gruyere which is very expensive. Thanks Ina! Your recipes are always a hit.

I have made this recipe several times and I just love the idea I can make it early in the day. Everyone loves it!!! I just made it Thursday evening with company. It is equally as good the next day.

Mine turned out completely watery...obviously my own fault. Perhaps I didn't drain the cauliflower long enough??? Regardless, I strained the water out and it was delicious! Will make again. Hopefully I get it right next time.

Ina your recipes are the most easiest and the most delicious. This was my first time ever making Gratin and it turned out so wonderful that even my 3 year old who never eats veggies ate a big portion of it. Never thought making and eating vegetables would be so wonderful. Keep doing the good work.

This is a delicious way to serve cauliflower. We enjoyed it. Will be using this for Christmas dinner. The nutmeg made the house smell like Christmas!
