Ina has done it again! This soup was sensational - wonderful flavor and texture - not too thick - I served it to company and they raved!

This chowder is without a doubt the best I have ever had. I knew from looking at the recipe ingredients that it SOUNDED good, but when I tasted it, MMmmmmmm! Our 1 year old daughter loves corn, so she is really going to love this, too.
I will definitely make this recipe forever! It's a keeper Ina, thanks so much!

I love this recipie. I have used it for about 4 years and lost my recipie. Because it was a limited time recipie I had to wing it on my own. I did okay, but I am so glad to see it back. This is a favorite in my family! And I four picky kids who gulp it down. I am printing this out to never be lost again!

This was so delicious! I left out the turmeric because I didn't have any but the flavor that the bacon added along with the sharo white cheddar were out of this world. In Ina's words-fabulous!

The chowder is the bomb! We make the full recipe, freeze it in quart jars, and have soup dinners for a month. It's terrific with fresh or frozen corn.

Most of the bacon rendering should be removed. The flavor was nothing special. Needs something else--an herb, perhaps--to pick it up. It served much more than the "6-8" indicated on the recipe.

i thought it was just o.k. nothing to write home about. on the thin side. i did use frozen corn kernels that might be why.

I absolutely love this chowder. The difficulty listed on the site is "medium", but I thought it was a breeze to pull together. I made it vegetarian for my sister in law very easily by substituting vegetable broth, and omitting the bacon. She said that it was fabulous! So both ways is a hit in my family.

Such an easy and delicious soup. My family went nuts over it, including hubby who claims he does not like corn.
