I made these for the first time and they were a hit! My girlfriends loved them and all wanted the recipe. We did agree, however; that they were a bit salty, so next time I will reduce the Kosher salt by half. Also, I found the baking time of 10 to 15 minutes too short... next time I'd give them a minimum of 15 to 20 minutes. I didn't have a problem twisting them and thought they looked terrific! I'll make them again... for sure! Love you Ina!

What do you do with the rest of the salt, thyme, parmesan & gruyere?

I had fun making these and they were a bit hit! Light and tasty, they go with dip, salads, main dishes or by themselves. I had trouble finding the Guyere cheese so I used Asiago instead. And I had trouble twisting them into long sticks so I cut them in half. Made so many I gave some away! This is a keeper. Thanks Ina!

These were absolutely wonderful! Quick and easy-some of them did not hold their twist quite as much-but who cares! I served these along with Ina's recipe for Mac-N-Cheese(which was wonderful for those who have not tried that, along with grilled Asparagus-it was quite the meal! Thank-You Ina, I have not had a bad recipe from you yet! P.S. I made the lemon cakes for supper-WONDERFUL!

These are great but they take a lot of TLC. They need to be handled a lot and if you don't take a lot of care they untwist and the cheese falls off. Luckily there's a bakery here in town that makes them and I'll gladly pay not to have the hassle.

These are great right out of the oven or just after...however, they lose taste and dry out the longer that they sit. Unless you have 4 or more people eating, I suggest using only half the recipe...it yields alot of them!
