I do most of the cooking in our household and try to keep the calories and fat content down. This recipe is excellent. Very tasty and refreshing without being too spicy. I made it with skinless/boneless breasts and it was wonderful. In has a way with chicken and this is an example.

This recipe was great! I added kidney beans, used cilantro, and increased the spices. It turned out fantastic.

I've made this chili many, many times, and always enjoy it. I serve it with corn bread or cornbread w/Jalapenos, plus the other sides. In fact, I've not made Beef chili since making this --healthier and just as satisfying. Thanks Ina! AND, I enjoyed meeting you at your book signing, Nov. 8, in Arlington. You're the best!

I have all of Ina's books and love her recipes, but I only gave this 4 stars because I felt I needed to add some extra ingredients to make it perfect. I used extra spices to suit my taste, as well as diced carrot and a can of black beans. I also used Cilantro instead of basil (I know Ina doesn't like cilantro. My family really liked this chili, especially with chips and cheese on top!

I invited some of our friends over and served this chili on a cold, rainy day. It was a perfect comfort for friends and rainy weather. The chili is packed with flavor, and better than most I have tried. Definitely recommend! Yummy!

Looks delicious but do you think this chilli could be made in a slow cooker?

To me this tasted like some kind of chicken stew, not chili as I know it.
While it had a decent enought taste, my husband and I were looking for a Mexican tasting dish and felt this fell short of it.

Such a great idea to use a rotisserie chicken-saves times and tastes so good..I omitted the onions, as my husband won't eat them and the recipe still turned out awesome..I served atop freshly baked corn bread-it was wonderful!
