I think that the sauce was too runny. I was disappointed with the crust only being over the top of the ramekins. I wonder if it would work with a bottom crust, more like a traditional pot pie. In any event, the flavor of the sauce was good, I didn't use the pearl onions, but there wasn't enough flour to the liquid. It was very runny. Usually Ina doesn't steer me wrong, but with this recipe she did. :(

absolutely delicious. I added 2 potatoes, that I blanched with the carrots and 2 finely diced stalks of celery. the crust is soooooo good, I will never use another store bought one. I will use less salt next time. we don't use much salt so this tasted a bit salty but really, really good.

I've made this before and this 2nd time, I've doubled the crust ingredients to lay crust on the bottom of the Ramekins. I just know the pot pies will be even better.

Wonderful. I made it with a phyllo crust rather than what's directed in this recipe because I was trying to get rid of all the phyllo in my freezer. My 10-year old went back not just for seconds or thirds, but FOURTHS. Inconceivable! I used a combination of homemade chicken stock and whole milk to make the sauce a little creamier. Also used fresh sage and roasted the additional onions before adding. Not sure how much this added to the flavor but wow - this is the best chicken pot pie I've ever had!

This is the most flavorful, delicious, and unforgettable chicken pot pie that I have ever made. For the dough, I just used Pilsbury refrigerated pie crusts. I also made six (smaller pot pies with this recipe and used the leftover filling with cooked pasta another night. It is without a doubt the most amazing pot pie recipe out there, in my opinion.

This is an awesome recipe. I didn't do the crust , I bought the store crust. But I did everything else and it was very awesome. I wouldn't change anything with the exception of adding celery when sauteing the onions and adding potatoes to the mix.

Fantastic! I used a rotiserie chicken and puff pastry for the crust to save on time. My family loved it and I will absolutely be making this again.

Far and away the best chicken pot pie I've ever made, and believe me, I've made my share of them. Made it last week, and I'm making it again tonight - it was that good. Thinking I will had some frozen broccoli florets as well.
