I liked this recipe a lot and have made it often for my lunches at work. The simplicity lets you build and create different flavor combinations. In this evening's batch, I added chopped shallots. Since my supermarket only sells whole chicken breasts in packs of three, I use the recommended amounts of salt and pepper in the recipe and I find it comes out just about right.

I, along with all my friends and family, think this is the best chicken salad ever! I added a tablespoon of dijon mustard for some added flavor. YUMMY!!!

Ina, if your reading this, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you! My fiance' & I were watching your show (as always last evening and when you started the chicken salad we immediately ran out of the house (true story bought the ingredients and I made the salad exactly the way you showed us how. (we forgot to get the olive oil, so we used advocado oil instead Wow! We are from Bermuda, and we have prided ourselves on making some of the best ordinary dishes in the world. Obviously, we didnt have a clue! The chicken was the moistest chicken I've ever eaten period. Today, I decided to surprise my nephew with lunch at school, but to turn things up a notch, I added onion, dried cransins, and a few walnuts.....Yummy!! Thanks so much for 'upgrading' my taste buds....we love you!!!!

My daughter-in-law made this recently and I loved it, so I found it in my "BC At Home" cookbook and made it myself. I used a whole rotisserie chicken instead of just the breast and followed the recipe -- while it was really good, it was much too salty, so next time will use only one teaspoon! Wonderful on buttery croissant!

The chicken salad is soooo good! I've been looking for an easy and tasty chicken salad recipe and I've found it. I didn't use as much salt and wish I did when baking the chicken, had to add to the salad. I also cute up one small gala apple and it adds a nice crunch to the salad. You know it's good when an 11-year old boy tells you it's yummy!

This recipe is without a doubt the best I ever tasted!! I doubled the entire recipe, AND quadrupled the fresh Tarragon leaves. The fresh Tarragon leaves "Make" this recipe fantastic! I couldn't find Mesclin, so I used butter baby lettuce leaves. BE SURE TO FRESHLY ROAST THE CHICKEN YOURSELF, IN YOUR OVEN....

Other than that, I followed the recipe as she makes it.

Once you've eaten this, no other will compare!!

Thank you Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten!!

Add In's: Red Apples & Green Grapes. MUST BE GREEN Grapes.

I don't like chicken salad but I loved this one. I made up the mixture but I just sort of eyeballed the mayo according to how much chicken I had. Instead of using it in a sandwich I used it in a roll up wrap. (fajita And turned it into the perfect finger food with less mess.

The Tarragon really makes this dish. But I felt like it needed a little something. So I added in the Red Apples gave it a nice crunch along with the celery. A friend of mine came up with the Green Grapes Idea. So tossed those in too. And it worked out perfect. Cheap, tastes good, and easy to make. Why not give it a try??

I made this for a small lunch gathering and everyone loved it. I did not add all of the salt that the recipe called for, but almost. I also heavily salted the chicken before I cooked it. I think chicken needs a lot of salt or it is just too bland. I served a salad on the side instead of on the sandwich and also put out red onions and spicy mustard on the side, for the people who wanted it. I was happy with the way it turned out. Thanks Ina!
