Use the stew part in a deep dish pie plate and cover it with vented pie crust draped over plate that has been painted with egg wash...makes a yummy pot pie.

Good, but I cheated by using Grands biscuits. I think I am going to try her biscuits one day, but I definitley enjoyed this and so did my family. The first time I made this, I have no idea what happened but my biscuits were hard as a rock. I am not a novice baker, so I was disappointed. Maybe I overworked the dough inadvertently, but I decided not try again. This is the first biscuit in over 20 years that did not work for me.

I have been making this dish for 20 yrs...I was a new bride..and I just had all the ingredients and threw them together and topped it with biscuits...funny how my simple, as my husband calls it "chicken stuff" seems so fancy when ina makes it. the only thing different i do is i put lots of cheese in an make a creamy cheese sauce.

Awesome! If you want to make it easy, use premade frozen biscuits! Terrific for company as well.

Delicious! I didn't have fresh parsley, so used fresh basil. This is definitely one of my favorites from BC.

This recipe is so easy and delicious. Make often when we want comfort food. Have made numerous times for many different people and always enjoyed.

Loved this recipe! Made it for dinner last night! I too left out the pearl onions, and found the chopped fresh ones were just enough. I also agree it took me longer than the recipe says -- I took about 2 hours. But well worth it, and will most definitely not take as long the next time I make it. Definitely a keeper!

This was sooo good! The men and boys in my house absolutely loved it, too! I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts and Pilsbury Southern Style biscuits instead of making my own (just to make it easier. I would DEFINATELY make it again!
