Great. I have a garlic peeler so I did not boil the garlic. Used bone in thighs and breasts with rib meat. Flavor was outstanding. Made the morrocan couscous as side and roasted asparagus. A hit.

    Love this!!
    On a side note,
why is it that a lot of people change recipes and then complain they didn't come out right??

Very good. I chickened out and roasted my garlic. Also, added some chicken stock to get more sauce.

Great recipe! I didn't have a dutch oven so I used a crock-pot and cooked it a little longer. I also didn't have any cognac on hand so I used a nice bourbon and it turned out well. I will try it again with the cognac.

I preferred Alton Brown's recipe with 40 cloves of garlic. Not a huge fan of the sauce and thought it was only okay.

WONDERFUL! Have no worries about the amount of garlic in this recipe- it's perfect. YUM! I didn't have sherry or cognac so I omitted the cognac & used white wine in place of the sherry. I also used just one chicken instead of two. It worked out perfect because I had extra sauce to put over mashed potatoes. I also served with braised kale. Wonderful meal! Will make again!
