This dish was worth the extra trouble of moving the chicken in and out of the pot. I even substituted the kind of wine and it was great! The gravy is wonderful and the garlic is NOT overpowering at all. It is sweet and rich and savory all at once. I will definitely make this dish over and over again with happy results!

Made this a few times. It works really well... not that hard to make at all. Consider leaving out the cream in the final sauce, it doesn't add that much.

I loved this recipe so much that I've made it twice in two weeks. I did make one change and that was switching the cognac for bourbon, which was on hand from another recipe. I can't wait to have it for friends.

I made this last night and it was excellent. I used bone-in breasts which I cut in half. Next time I will use boneless breasts as I am not a fan eating chicken w/ the bones! Excellent!

This dish was bitter! The chicken itself did not have much flavor and neither the chicken nor the sauce tasted like garlic. Make the couscous from this show but not the chicken.

I made this dish for a gathering of friends last night. The preparation was easy, thanks for the tip on peeling the garlic, not a lot of steps and the recipe was easy to follow and it was fast to prepare. I presented the dish in serving dish with the sauce poured over the chicken as the recipe outlined. The resulting dish was devoured. One of my friends asked me to email the recipe to him.

Was really easy and was delicious!! The garlic was not overpowering and just desolved in your mouth. It even warmed up beautifully the next day.
