I have 6 of Ina's cookbooks plus her Recipe Journal (or index, I call it, which is a wonderful resource! Anyway, I made the Blonde Brownies the other day for some guys working on our new patio and, boy!, were they a hit!! I did use a 9 x 13 pan and chocolate chips, since I didn't have chunks in the pantry and only had a little over 2 cups, but thought it was plenty, really. Another great recipe from one of my favorite Food Network stars.

These are amazing! I also used regular chocolate chips and put them in a 9 in. square pan and made about 7-8 cookies as well. I lined the pan with foil and when cool just wrap them and place in freezer. Also do this with brownies and you don't have to clean the pan!

This recipe is a favorite in my family. I get requests to bring these to family parties all the time. They are sweet, yet the kosher salt and lots of butter are the perfect combination. I follow the recipe exactly, and each time they are fantastic. Sometimes they come out a bit underdone, but that's even better!

Made half the recipe. Only put in a quarter pound of chocolate chips - more than enough. Very tasty but not amaaaazing.

The recipe called for 1 1/4 pounds chocolate chunks. I bought the large size bag thinking it was the amount needed. The bag contained only 11.5 ounces less than the 1 1/4 listed in the recipe and I used only the one bag and it was way too much chocolate and very very sweet. I was very disappointed. I am a big fan of Ina's but this recipe was a let down. Also made the chocolate chunk cookes and found them too sweet and too much chocolate chunks.

These tasted so good! I had some trouble cooking them though, because I cooked them for the 30 minutes and they seemed done when I poked it with a toothpick but then the middle was completely undercooked. So I put it back in the oven for another 15 minutes. I also think there was too much chocolate used in the recipe, I think 1 lb would be enough next time.

Ina does it again. These are the most amazing blondies ever! I only had chocolate chips and just used 1 lb as the other reviewers suggested. These will be a new staple in our house!
