I used this recipe for the icing and it was absolutely fantastic! I used the icing as a filling for Ina's Beatty Chocolate Cake recipe, and her chocolate icing for the outside - So amazing! Can't go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate!

These are the best chocolate cupcakes I have ever tasted. I did not use the peanut butter frosting because I wanted to use my mom's chocolate frosting recipe.

WOW!!!!!! That peanut butter frosting is dymanite, extemely creamy, easy to spread and not too peanutty!!!! I actually followed another reviewers advice and utilized Ina's "Beatties Chocolate Cake" recipe for the cupcakes and it is delicious!! Melted some semisweet chocolate and cut out little chocolate stars to adorn each little cake. And this is why I love Ina!!!!

Great chocolate cake recipe. It's a simple, uncomplicated, pretty standard cake recipe that produces a moist, dense cake. This chocolate cake also didn't fall apart when you smear frosting on it, which is a common chocolate cake problem. Unless Ina's muffin tin is much larger than mine, though, the yield on this recipe is off. I got 24 regular sized cupcakes out of it. I can't comment on the peanut butter frosting (though I'm sure it's wonderful because I used a different recipe. I wanted one with cream cheese.

Just made these today, thinking I was up for a challenge and it was super easy. The icing was delicious, too! If a 15 year old, myself, can make these, anyone can!

Just made the peanut butter frosting today to use on a different chocolate layer cake. My son says it tastes like I whipped up the peanut butter straight out of the jar ... which means it is a win! Light, fluffy, and incredibly easy to make. Thanks, Ina!

LOVE the flavors! I made sure to not overmix, checked the temp of my oven prior to baking (I had to lower the temp 10 degrees and I checked the cupcakes at 18 minutes and they were done. YUMMY!
