These were delicious! Made them for a birthday party and everyone loved them! I cut out the center of the cupcakes to make them "stuffed" with the chocolate ganache and then put peanut butter buttercream on top. They were fabulous!

My younger brother and cousin loved these cupcakes. I loved the texture of them, because they were like brownies, but they were too chocolatey. A completly chocolate cake with semisweet ganache, it tasted a little dark. Next time we made it, we put less chocolate in the batter and whipped the ganache (milk chocolate with some cream. Came out much lighter and tastier :

TASTY!!! My family adores these delectable little chocolate cakes of love! Our daughter just asked me to make these as her birthday treat this year, with extra filling and ganache on top. I fill them with a cream filling before I pour the ganache on and they get eaten up down to the last crumb. Definitely not your average and boring cupcake. Thanks Ina!

Lovely, chocolatey & scrumpious! I have made them 2 times, once with the Hershey's syrup & once with the Special Dark as suggested. Wow, Special dark was the Fav!! These are for chocolate lovers only. The coffee makes a huge difference. Hubby (who hates coffe in any way shape or form liked them!. Had genache left over & put it on vanila ice cream. Almost as good as my mom's hot fudge sauce, which is the standard for me

Made these last night after seeing a recent Ina Garten show featuring the addition of a "secret" ingredient like the instant coffee in these. Excellent and I really liked the texture and I thought the flavor and sweetness was spot-on but I can see how other reviewers might have not thought of them as very "cupcake-like". If I make them again I will use the Hershey's Special Dark syrup as one reviewer suggested.

Yum! My whole family LOVES these cupcakes... but we were prepared for them to be delicious, dense, chocolate-y little cakes! They are a bit like brownies, which is why I think we love them so much! If you're looking for a cupcake recipe thats similar to a boxed cake (yuk!!... you will be disappointed... these are SOO much better!!

Used Starbuck instant coffee. A little strong the first day, but better every day after. Everyone loved them. Co-worker said it was the best cupcake she had ever had. Easy to make, keeps well on the counter. Ganache makes enough to dip a double batch. Like that the recipe is for only 12.

Yuck. They were VERY chocolatly, pretty much too chocolatly. They were very heavy and fudgy. I won't be making them again. They were pretty, but looking at them
Was about as good as they got!

These were terrible. Am a very good cook and followed the recipe to the letter. They were very heavy and did not have any sweetness to them at all. Ended up throwing them in the trash. Will not attempt them again.

These are NOT cupcakes, these are brownies! You're better off with a store bought cake mix. Very disappointing.
